Early Departure
For only $399 plus tax, plus 1 day insurance, this program allows you to get an early start on your vacation by boarding your boat the afternoon before your scheduled departure. As soon as the boat has been fully serviced you will board between 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. You must complete your Captain's Lesson (approx. 35 min.) and depart the marina one hour before sunset. This option allows you to spend all 7 nights out on the lake to make the most of your houseboat vacation. No refunds for late arrivals.
Early Boarding
For only $349, this program allows you to board the boat the evening before your scheduled departure as soon as the boat has been fully serviced. You will board between 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. (late arrivals make arrangements with our office staff). This option will allow you to unpack, get settled, and complete your Captain's Lesson (approx. 35 min.) and depart our marina before noon the following day. We cannot guarantee boarding times based on unforseen circumstances.
Charter Policies
1. DEPOSIT
• A reservation can only be confirmed upon receipt of a $750.00 reservation deposit. Visa or Mastercard
2. PAYMENT OF CHARTER
• The $750.00 reservation deposit is applied to the cost of the charter.
• The balance of the charter fee is due and payable 60 days prior to departure by Visa, Mastercard or postdated cheque.
Your reservation will be canceled WITHOUT NOTICE, if we do not receive payment in full, 60 days prior to departure.
No reminders will be issued.
3. CANCELLATION
• The reservation deposit is refundable less a 50% facilitating fee if reservation is canceled, or changed,
in writing 60 days or more prior to boarding date. (no exceptions)
• In the event of cancellation less than 60 days prior to sailing, you will forfeit the full deposit and reservation amount.
4. SECURITY DEPOSIT
• A $1000.00 / or $2500.00 security deposit is required upon arrival prior to boarding, which must be paid by cash,
certified cheque, VISA, MasterCard or money order. No personal cheques will be accepted.
See insurance options number 5-A, number 5-B to determine the amount of deposit.
• The security deposit will be applied to the following outstanding charges: damage caused to the houseboat,
lost inventory items, and excessively unclean boats.
• The security / damage deposit will be refunded providing there are no outstanding charges and the boat
is returned at the appointed time.
5. INSURANCE
• OPTION A - SUN 'N' FUN carries an insurance policy covering the charter. However, with this option a deposit of
$2500.00 is required and will be returned to you unless outstanding charges are incurred. The charter will be
responsible for paying up to the first $2500.00 of any loss unless you choose Option B.
• OPTION B - For $27.50 per day the charterer can reduce the $2500.00 deductible down to $750.00.
The $27.50 per day and a security deposit of $1000.00 is required upon arrival at the marina.
Either option must be paid by certified cheque, cash, money order, travelers cheque, MasterCard or Visa.
No personal cheques will be accepted once you arrive at the marina.
6. ADDITIONAL EXPENSES
• The houseboat is sent out with a full fuel tank and upon return is refueled at your expense.
• Propane, small boat launch and vehicle parking is provided at no additional cost.
